Mercedes Recall

Mercedes Benz is recalling several of its vehicles for Sunroof Glass that may not be Properly Bonded.

SUMMARY:
Mercedes-Benz USA, LLC (MBUSA) is recalling certain model year 2016 C300 vehicles manufactured December 11, 2015, to December 23, 2015, C300 4Matic vehicles manufactured December 12, 2015, to December 29, 2015, and C450 AMG 4Matic vehicles manufactured December 12, 2015, to December 22, 2015. The affected vehicles may be equipped with a panoramic sunroof that may not be properly bonded, allowing the glass to detach and fall from the vehicle during operation.
CONSEQUENCE:
If the panoramic glass detaches during vehicle operation, it can increase the risk of injury or crash.
REMEDY:
MBUSA will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the bonding of the rear sunroof glass panel, replacing it as necessary, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin in late March 2016. Owners may contact MBUSA customer service at 1-800-367-6372.

Honda Scooter

Honda is recalling its 2014 Scooters for Brake Fluid that may Leak from Loose Rear Line

SUMMARY:
Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain model year 2014 NSS300 and NSS300A scooters manufactured June 18, 2013, to September 12, 2013. The rear brake line connection on the affected vehicles may have been improperly tightened, allowing brake fluid to leak.
CONSEQUENCE:
If the rear brake line leaks, there would be a reduction of loss of rear brake pressure and therefore rear braking function, increasing the risk of a crash.
REMEDY:
Honda will notify owners, and dealers will tighten the rear brake line connection to specification, and fill the rear brake fluid reservoir, as necessary, free of charge. The manufacturer has not yet provided a notification schedule. Owners may contact Honda customer service at 1-866-784-1870. Honda’s number for this recall is JY3.

Ford is recalling its 2015 Lincoln MKC vehicles for a possible accidentally push to start/stop button push that may cause the engine to shut down.

SUMMARY:

Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain model year 2015 Lincoln MKC vehicles manufactured August 20, 2013, to September 9, 2014. In the affected vehicles, the Push-to Start/Stop (PTS) button that is located at the bottom of the shift transmission controls may inadvertently be pushed, causing the engine to shut off.

CONSEQUENCE:

If the PTS switch is inadvertently pressed, the vehicle may stop unexpectedly, increasing the risk of a crash. In the event of a crash with the vehicle turned off, the air bags and seat belt restaints may not function as intended, increasing the risk of injury.

REMEDY:

Ford will notify owners, and dealers will relocate the PTS switch and reprogram the Powertrain Control Module (PCM), free of charge. The recall is expected to begin February 23, 2015. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford’s number for this recall is 14S29.

BMW is recalling its 2014-2015 Mini Cooper Hardtop vehicles for Incorrect Capacity Information that is on the label.

SUMMARY:

BMW of North America, LLC (BMW) is recalling certain model year 2014-2015 MINI Cooper Hardtop two door vehicles manufactured December 1, 2013, to December 14, 2014. The affected vehicles may have been manufactured with an incorrect maximum capacity weight stated on the Tire Information Placard. Thus, these vehicles fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) No. 110, “Tire Selection and Rims and Motor Home/Recreation Vehicle Trailer Load Carrying Capacity Information for Motor Vehicles with a GVWR of 4,536 kilograms (10,000 pounds) or less.”

CONSEQUENCE:

The maximum weight listed on the label is incorrect (too low) and therefore does not comply with Federal Regulations.

REMEDY:

MINI will notify owners, and dealers will replace the incorrect labels with corrected labels, free of charge. Owners will notified by March 13, 2015. Owners may contact MINI customer service at 1-866-825-1525.

Jaguar is recalling its 2006-2012 Land Rover vehicles for front brake hose(s) that may rupture

SUMMARY:

Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Land Rover) is recalling certain model year 2006-2012 Land Rover Range Rover vehicles manufactured April 15, 2005, to September 4, 2012. One or both of the flexible front brake hoses may rupture causing loss of brake fluid.

CONSEQUENCE:

If one or both of the flexible brake hoses fails, the vehicle may require a longer distance to stop, increasing the risk of a crash.

REMEDY:

Land Rover will notify owners, and dealers will replace the left and right front brake hoses, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin March 13, 2015. Owners may contact Land Rover customer service at 1-800-637-6837. Land Rover’s number for this recall is P054.

SUMMARY:

Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain model year 2014 Ford Escape vehicles manufactured April 15, 2014, to May 8, 2014, and 2015 Lincoln MKC vehicles manufactured April 21, 2014, to May 15, 2014. Improper nickel plating of components within the fuel pump may result in the fuel pump failing.

CONSEQUENCE:

If the fuel pump fails, the vehicle may stall without warning, increasing the risk of a crash.

REMEDY:
Ford will notify owners, and dealers will replace the fuel pump, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin February 23, 2015. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford’s number for this recall is 14S30.
